ASIAN FESTIVAL

The Parker Arts Council will begin the 2008 season with the 2nd Annual Asian Festival. This event is scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2008, from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Drive, Parker, Colorado 80134. Admission is $5.00 per person (children age 3 and under are free). Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Parker Recreation Center or at the door on the night of the event.

Take a journey to the Far East right here in the Town of Parker. You will be mesmerized by traditional clothing, explanations of traditions going back thousands of years, and entertained with the diverse line-up of music, dance performances, and martial art demonstrations.

The festival would not be complete without an Asian Market consisting of vendors providing food, beverages, and merchandise, Asian art display provided by the Parker Arts Guild, and children's activities including the ancient art of origami and games for practicing your chopstick skills.

Come and celebrate the New Year (The year of the Rat) with a cultural learning experience that the whole family will enjoy.
